
Over 40 plus years in the Fire Service.
Started my carrier as a seasonal with U.S.D.A. Forest Service. Then served with the U.S. Air Force and Air National Guard as a Crash Rescue Firefighter.
Then with the D.O.I. Bureau of Land Management in Nevada as an Engine Captain and Hand Crew Foreman.
Then with the Nevada Division of Forestry. When with N.D.F., worked in the Conservation Camp program supervising Inmate Fire Crews and in State All Risk Fire Stations throughout Nevada.
Served multiple Fire Assignments as a part of an Incident Management Team or as a single resource. Retired from Nevada Division of Forestry. Currently work in West Central Nevada for a US Department of Energy ALL Risk Fire Department as an Aide to the Assistant Shift Chief, in Wildland Fire Management and, as a Wildland Fire Training Instructor for the department. Within a year or so of retiring. Own and operate Nevada Wildland Consulting LLC and provide NWSA, NWCG, and State Fire Marshal instruction, and Defendable Space consulting to multiple entities. Hold Fire Officer, Fire Instructor, and Fire Inspector/Investigator certifications through multiple states and nationally. Qualified as an Incident Commander 3, Division/Group Supervisor, and as a Incident Safety Officer.
Live in West Central Nevada, married to my wife Cindy and have 5 children and 3 grandchildren. Enjoy time with family, traveling in our RV, fly fishing and paddle sports in our spare time.
